Donekla Delivers Laughter and Filipino Spirit to Antwerp! Our First Show with Bayanihan Belgium!

What an absolutely fantastic day it was in Antwerp, Belgium! On September 13, 2025, the air was electric with anticipation as the beloved comedy duo, Donekla, graced the stage, all thanks to the incredible efforts of Bayanihan Belgium. And we were immensely proud to be a part of it, chosen as a vendor for our very first Donekla show with this vibrant Filipino-Belgian community!

The event, aptly titled "Donekla Live in Antwerp! Laughter in Tandem," promised unstoppable laughter and good vibes, and it certainly delivered. Held at the excellent Ter Elst Hotel & Congress, Antwerp, the venue was abuzz with energy from the moment doors opened at 4:00 PM.

The schedule was packed with excitement:

• VIP Meet & Greet (3:00–4:00 PM): Lucky VIPs had the chance to meet Donekla up close and personal, setting a great tone for the day.

• FREE Pre-Show Fun (4:00–7:00 PM): This was a fantastic initiative, offering FREE ENTRANCE for everyone to enjoy a live band, delicious Filipino food (including our very own treats!), refreshing halo-halo, and fresh breads for takeaway. The atmosphere was festive and truly communal, allowing everyone to mingle and enjoy the pre-show buzz.

• Main Event: Donekla Show (7:00 PM onwards): And then, the main act! Donekla took the stage and had the entire audience in stitches. Their unique brand of humor and undeniable chemistry brought waves of laughter, making it a truly memorable night for everyone present.

  
  

For us, being a part of this event was more than just setting up our stall and selling our products. It was about witnessing the strength and unity of the Filipino community in Belgium. Bayanihan Belgium did an outstanding job organizing such a large-scale event, creating a wonderful platform for Filipinos and friends to gather, celebrate their culture, and share moments of joy.

We loved connecting with everyone who stopped by our stall, whether they were grabbing a taste of home or trying something new. The spirit of 'bayanihan' was truly evident, with people sharing food, laughter, and stories.

A massive thank you to Bayanihan Belgium for organizing such a spectacular event and for giving us the opportunity to be a part of this memorable first Donekla show in Antwerp. It was an honor to contribute to the laughter and good times.
